Loving California
I took a fun trip to LA at the end of May and absolutely loved it. To be honest, I didn't think southern California would be for me, but it turns out that I kind of love it there. I went to Santa Monica and its famous pier, hit the beach in Malibu, loved every minute in Santa Barbara, saw the pre-Broadway play Dirty Dancing, bought fabulous produce at a local farmers' market, saw some great places in LA and left wanting to come back.

Amber - I feel the same way about LA. My favorite restaurant there is a place called Felipe's. They serve the best French Dip sandwiches there (I think that's ALL they serve, if I remember correctly), but it's 100% worth it to go there. It looks like you had a great trip and saw a lot of really neat things. I look forward to hearing more about your trip and especially the Getty Museum - which I tried and tried and tried to get there but missed the exit 3 times, and so gave up; one of my goals in life is to someday go to the Getty... And I'm like a kid at an amusement park also. Something about a ferris wheel...
